Daisy came to Lakemeadow in 2002 from the well known Kampsall Labradors, owned by Margaret and the late Bob Robinson. She was the first black at Lakemeadow since the mid 1980’s.

Now retired from the show ring, Daisy won many classes at Open Shows, and placements at Championship Shows, (including Crufts 2003), and was a Best in Show winner in 2003 and she Crufts Qualified each year she was being shown.

Daisy is now also retired from breeding. She had two litters, was an excellent mum, and produced some lovely offspring, including my two girls, Ellie and Ebony.

Daisy has a wonderful laid-back, true labrador nature and is so easy going and adaptable. She now “goes to work” in an Estate Agents Office, a couple of mornings a week, where she enjoys meeting the clients, and being the centre of attention.

 Ellie, “the eyes say it all”, is a sensitive and super intelligent dog, always very anxious to please, if a little over-exuberant at times.

Ellie has only been lightly shown, and, although she has won well and been placed at Open and Championship Shows, showing is not really Ellie’s cup of tea. Her favourite pastime is flushing pheasants and chasing grey squirrels in the local country park.

Ellie has had three litters, and produced some excellent youngsters.
From her first litter, the Res. C.C. winning Lakemeadow Cynan at Nigabee. From her second litter three pups who qualified for Crufts in their first few appearances in the show ring, Lakemeadow Let It Be Me at Sharouns, Lakemeadow Let’s Dance with Sharouns (B.P. in Breed S.K.C. Ch. Show, B.B.P. Bath and Blackpool Ch. Shows and B.P.I.S. Cheshire County Show) and Lakemeadow Lady Jane Whistletyne. From her third litter, we have kept a choccie girl, Lakemeadow C'est La Vie, (Pookie), who is a super girl, very affectionate and a wonderful family dog.

Ebony is “my lovely big cuddly girl”. She is a BIG girl in every sense, the size of a house, with a huge personality to match. Although Ebbie has never been shown, she is a nicely constructed bitch, with a lovely head. She is very deep through the chest, known as “having plenty of heart room”, which is appropriate as she is, I think, the “biggest hearted” dog I have owned.
She is a lovable jester of a dog and likes to amuse with her clumsiness and playful antics.

 Pippa is our latest addition, and a real sweetie. She carries 8 generations of Lakemeadow breeding via her mum (Lakemeadow Lady Jane Whistletyne), is an Ellie granddaughter, and Barney great granddaughter.

Thanks to her breeder, Judith Keating, Pippa has joined us here at Lakemeadow.

Currently just 4 months old, Pip is an absolute joy to live with, being both bright and quick to learn, and also very laid back and easy going.
